It was not only when he appeared [in the body prepared for Him] that he voluntarily laid down his [physical] life, but he voluntarily laid down his [individual spirit (soul)] life from the very day the world came into being [this was all part of the grand plan of the Father “from before the founding of the world” that He might create sons for Himself who would inherit all that He has (fullness of life, love, wisdom and unlimited possibilities)].
