Divine Wisdom and the Wisdom of Death

Wisdom and Wisdom of Death
or
Echamoth and Echmoth

There is Echamoth and there is Echmoth. Echamoth is simply wisdom, but Echmoth is the wisdom of death—that is, the wisdom that knows death, that is called little wisdom. (The Gospel of Philip)

From the Gospel of Philip we can see there are two types of wisdom

Echamoth is Wisdom simply
Echmoth is the Wisdom of death or "the little Wisdom"

There are two types of wisdom the wisdom of this world and the wisdom of God.

The rulers of this age, Paul argues, knew Sophia but not Christ-Sophia [higher wisdom]

1Cor 1:21  For after that in the wisdom of God (Divine Wisdom) the world by wisdom (human wisdom called philosophy) knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.

1Co 3:19  For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness.

The Sophia of this age is the lower form of wisdom in those who are material or carnally minded not spiritual

The other Sophia is of God a wisdom of God, formally hidden in mystery'. (1 Co 2:6-7) Now revealed in Jesus Christ (Col 1:26-28)—1Co 1:24, 30; compare 1Co 2:7, 8; Pr 8:1, 10, 18-21.

In the account of Valentinianism supplied by Irenaeus the name Achamoth is given only to the lower Sophia; it is therefore not without interest that here it is applied to both, although with a difference of vocalization. Ultimately it derives from the Hebrew hochmah 'wisdom,' and there is no reason why it should not have been given to both.

we have a Semitic wordplay between “wisdom” and “death”: “There is ekhamoth and there is ekhmoth. Ekhamoth is wisdom as such, but ekhmoth is the wisdom of death, that is, the wisdom acquainted with death, who is called lesser wisdom.” The wordplay here involves ḥokhmot (ḥokhmah), “wisdom,” and ekh mot, “like death.” That this may refer to sacrificial concepts might be hinted at by the very next passage, which deals with the subject of animals.

There is Echamoth and there is Echmoth. Echamoth is simply wisdom, but Echmoth is the wisdom of death—that is, the wisdom that knows death, that is called little wisdom. (The Gospel of Philip)

Echamoth is one thing and Echmoth, another. Echamoth is Wisdom [divine wisdom] simply [“single eyed” and in tune with the will of the Father], but Echmoth is the Wisdom of death [“double mindedness” still intellectualizing and analyzing things eventually leading you to go your own way according to your own hearts desires], which is the one who knows death [he knows he will die physically but not that he will rise. So his wisdom is all physical, it is worldly wisdom, based upon the false premise that his physical existence is all he will ever have], which is called "the little Wisdom" [these still cling to “the tree of the knowledge of good and evil” and cannot progress form the "letter" and will use it for unrighteous gain - these will hinder themselves and others from progressing to “the tree of life” still “deny its power” in them]. (Philip 28)

There is a vast difference between Echamoth and Echmoth. Echamoth is Sophia or Divine Wisdom, but Echmoth is mortal wisdom. Both are wisdom or knowledge, but Divine Wisdom has a dimension added, as Echamoth has a syllable added. Echamoth is living Wisdom, but Echmoth is dead wisdom. Both are wisdom or knowledge, but one remains trapped in the illusions of mortal existence, while the other ascends to Eternal Light and Lives.

The Difference Between Gnosis and Epignosis?

The Difference Between Gnosis and Epignosis?

As far as the words are concerned, they are both Greek nouns commonly translated “knowledge," gnosis and epignosis.

Both are related to the verb ginosko, which means “know; understand; perceive.” The way this verb is used in the Bible, though, shows that it can indicate a favorable relationship between the person and one he “knows.” (1Co 8:3; 2Ti 2:19) Knowledge (gnosis) is put in a very favorable light in the New Testament.

For example, Peter exhorts us to "grow in knowledge" (2 Pet. 1:5-6), and the word is "gnosis". He assures us that if we follow his advice we will be "neither barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ" (v. 8). But in this statement the word is "epignosis", and similar comparisons will be found elsewhere. The question is; What is the significance of these two words? And if we have "gnosis" (knowledge), when can we claim to have "epignosis" (deeper knowledge)?

Both words are derived from the verb "ginosko" which signifies the act of taking in knowledge, in such a way as to establish a relationship between the one knowing and the object known. For example: "This is life eternal to know (ginosko) Thee, the only true God and Jesus whom Thou hast sent" (John 17:3).

In such a context, the verb implies the one knowing, and not merely an academic knowledge.
When the preposition "epi" is added to the noun or verb, transforming it into "epignosis" or "epignosko", it suggests a fuller knowledge or recognition of the object known. Hence the question posed us: When does one reach "gnosis" to move on to "epignosis"?

The answer, of course, is a matter of interpretation. Our opinion is that "epignosis" does not indicate an increased quantity of knowledge, but a fuller quality of it. "Epignosis" is the absorbing and manifesting of whatever knowledge the capacity of the individual permits him to absorb.

And capacity varies with the individual. Christ declared: "Unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required" (Luke 13:48). The liquid capacity of a glass may be half a pint or litre, and when that amount is poured into it, it has reached its full capacity. It would be folly, wasteful, and perhaps disastrous to try and pour two litres of liquid into it. So with ourselves. When we have reached full capacity according to our limited ability and are using that knowledge effectively, we have "epignosis"; even though our grasp of a subject is more limited than that of others.

However, not all that men may call “knowledge” is to be sought, because philosophies and views exist that are “falsely called ‘knowledge.’” (1Ti 6:20) The recommended knowledge is about God and his purposes. (2Pe 1:5) This involves more than merely having facts, which many atheists have; a personal devotion to God and Christ is implied. (Joh 17:3; 6:68, 69) Whereas having knowledge (information alone) might result in a feeling of superiority, our knowing “the love of the Christ which surpasses knowledge,” that is, knowing this love by experience because we are personally imitating his loving ways, will balance and give wholesome direction to our use of any information we may have gained.—Eph 3:19.

Epignosis, a strengthened form of gno´sis (epi´, meaning "deeper" or “additional”), can often be seen from the context to mean “exact, accurate, or full knowledge.” Thus Paul wrote about some who were learning (taking in knowledge) “yet never able to come to an accurate knowledge [“a real knowledge,” TC; “a personal knowledge,” Ro; “clear, full knowledge,” Da ftn] of truth.” (2Ti 3:6, 7) He also prayed that ones in the Colossian congregation, who obviously had some knowledge of God’s will, for they had become Christians, “be filled with the accurate knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual comprehension.” (Col 1:9) Such accurate knowledge should be sought by all Christians (Eph 1:15-17; Php 1:9; 1Ti 2:3, 4), it being important in putting on “the new personality” and in gaining peace.—Col 3:10; 2Pe 1:2.

"Epignosis" is full-knowledge, or the fulness of knowledge. It is applying the substance of knowledge. Like ordinary food, it is not the quantity that we take in that counts, but the absorption by the body of the goodness of that which we consume, and which contributes to physical growth.

Consider the basic doctrine that God is one, and that we should "love Him" with all our strength. If we love a person sufficiently, we will enjoy being in his company, and we will extol his virtues to others. We will be anxious that he is well-respected by our acquaintances, and to that end we will introduce him to others, so that they may share our pleasure. Moreover, if our love is real, we will be longing and yearning after his presence, and moulding our lives so that we may appear attractive to him. So with the love of God. A person who truly loves God will yearn for fellowship with Him. He will strive to reach His holiness, knowing that it will please Him, in the same manner as he would pursue any object for which he feels a strong passion. He will find pleasure in studying the things relating to His majesty and purpose, in uttering words of praise to His name; and in occupying himself with the messages he has received from Him for his benefit and guidance. His feelings towards God will be like those of a lover towards the wife of his youth, or those of a father towards his child.

The Christadelphians and Knowledge

The Christadelphians and Knowledge

Most Christadelphians would disagree that their faith is Gnostic but there are two types of gnosis the Mythological Gnosis and Non-Mythological Gnosis I would class the Christadelphians as a gnostic group which does not believe in Mythological Gnosis

I have studied Christadelphian teachings since 2006 I was baptized in 2009, there is a great enpsis on knowledge in Christadelphian meetings

I began to study the Old Testament Pseudepigrapha and the Nag Hammadi Texts around 2011
after studying certain Gnostic groups I have come to the conclusion that Christadelphians share some understandings with the Valentinians

what is Gnosicism Gnostics considered the principal element of salvation to be direct knowledge of the remote supreme divine being, esoteric knowledge (gnosis) of whom enabled the redemption of the human spirit

Christadelphians believe that there is a process based around knowledge and work that leads to salvation.

One must also possess knowledge of what the Bible teaches if one would be saved Christadelphian Messenger, No. 4, “The One Hope of Everlasting Salvation”; No. 47, “Christendom Creeds not Christianity,” p. 1; No. 11, “A Refuge from the Judgment Storm,” p. 4
Christadelphians believe the Correct Knowledge (ἐπίγνωσις, εως, ἡ, epignósis ) of the Gospel is essential for salvation. Christadelphians call this Resurrectional Responsibility the teaching is summarized in Bible Basics by Duncan Heaster:

1. Knowledge of God's Word brings responsibility to Him.

2. Only the responsible will be resurrected and judged.

3. Those who do not know the true God will therefore remain dead like the animals.

the Christadelphian Statement of Faith also known as the Birmingham Amended Statement of Faith (BASF) The entire Christadelphian Statement of Faith includes the truth to be recieved, the Commandments of Christ, and the Doctrines to be Rejected.

In Clause 24 of the truth to be recieved we read

That at the appearing of Christ prior to the establishment of the Kingdom, the responsible (namely, those who know the revealed will of God, and have been called upon to submit to it), dead and living -- obedient and disobedient -- will be summoned before his judgment seat "to be judged according to their works," and "receive in body according to what they have done, whether it be good or bad."
2 Cor. 5:10; 2 Tim. 4:1; Rom. 2:5-6, 16; 14:10-12; 1 Cor. 4:5; Rev. 11:18.

The part underlined was inserted to rule out the belief that baptism made a person responsible rather than knowledge.

In Clause 22 the Doctrines to be Rejected

22. We reject the doctrine - that those without knowledge - through personal choice, immaturity, or lack of mental capacity - will be saved.

23. We reject the doctrine - that man can be saved by morality or sincerity, without the Gospel.
24. We reject the doctrine - that the Gospel alone will save, without obedience to Christ's commandments.

Christadelphians have a dualism between the flesh which these view has sin is self and he spirit what they want to be come called God manifestation

There are two basic doctrines of the Bible: (a) The nature of flesh; and (b) the spirit manifestation of God. The former teaches us what we are, and what we must guard against; the latter outlines what we can become, and what we must aim for.

Men were not ushered into being for the purpose of being saved or lost! God manifestation not human salvation was the great purpose of the Eternal Spirit. The salvation of a multitude is incidental to the manifestation, but was not the end proposed. The Eternal Spirit intended to enthrone Himself on the earth, and in so doing, to develop a Divine family from among men, every one of whom shall be Spirit, because born of the Spirit, and that this family shall be large enough to fill the earth, when perfected, to the entire exclusion of flesh and blood (1 Cor. 15:28)."

Christadelphians also have two classles of believers like some gnostic groups

into two classes the one the fellowservants, and the other the brethren, of the deceased souls. The brethren are fellowservants, but all the fellowservants were not brethren -- even as Christadelphians are christians, but all christians so-called are not Christadelphians.

I am a Gnostic Christadelphian

I am a Gnostic Christadelphian

You may say that this is, is a contradiction if ever I've heard one. That's like saying "I'm a Muslim Catholic" or "I'm a Buddhist Mormon".

Well it is a self-definition and self-designation, it is very good to defy the laws of labels and be who you are!

Mesmerism or Animal Magnetism a Natural Force

mesmerism or animal magnetism a natural force

But there are many who do wonderful things that do not believe on Jesus; this text from John is therefore not applicable to them.

They do their works, not as the result and evidence of faith, but by the energy of their οιυη wills, operating upon the nervous systems of the patients. The promise of Jesus is not to them ; hence its fulfilment is not to be found in their mesmeric doings.

People in families and societies mesmerize one another unconsciously. Their brains and nervous systems are acted upon by the ideas willed, evolving and expressed, among thorn. The preaching, praying, talking, and silent wishings of some concerning others, create a halo of influences, which invests the community in its family and associational relations, like a fog.

"Speaking with tongues" is no proof of the existence of "the spirits," nor is the faculty necessarily a fulfilment of the promise of Jesus. I have heard an illiterate girl sing French and Italian songs who five seconds before and the instant after the singing knew not a word in either tongue. It was done by first mesmerizing her, and then placing her en rapport with an educated lady who could perform. By this process the nervosity of the two became as one-as it were, mesmeric Siamese twins. Their two brains were a closed circle, the lady who played the guitar and sang being the positive brain-pole from which the will-influence passed to the negative brain-pole of the girl, causing her unconsciously to sing with tongues.

Herald of the Kingdom and Age to Come, April 1854

What is this? The name " Electricity " tells nothing; that really means " amber-icity " {electron being the Greek word for amber), and was adopted as the name of the inscrutable element from the circumstance that its existence was first discovered from the friction of amber. Could a better name be devised than what the Scriptures have given it—SPIRIT? It is one of the highest proofs of the truth of Jewish revelation, that its disclosure of the Deity in His relation to the universe coincides with the facts brought to light by the researches of the human intellect in the field of nature.

The employment of this element in accomplishing the designs of intelligence, is illustrated in the facts of animal magnetism, mesmerism, biology, table rapping, clairvoyance, and " spiritualism."
In these sciences and systems—(some of them ignorantly made the basis of pretensions to divine prescience and authority) —men make use of the divine " ruach " which they naturally possess, to accomplish results which cannot be developed apart from the action of willpower. Though animals have the same spirit, they lack the intelligence to use it in this form. They use it all up in the mere process of existence. Men having intelligence, find this wonderful agent at their command to a limited degree.

One man can influence another by it. Inanimate objects can be moved. Distant facts and occurrences can, in a high state of nervous susceptibility, be perceived by it. Unopened letters can be read; and numberless other prodigies accomplished, made familiar by science and the facts of " spiritualism "—a false and absurd system, based upon misunderstood facts of nature.

christendom astray

Thus J. Garnier, in his book The Worship of the Dead, declared that such things as mesmerism (hypnosis) and powers of spiritistic mediums “are merely the reproduction of the phenomena of ancient magic, produced by exactly the same arts as those by which the Pagan magicians, sorcerers, wizards, necromancers, etc., sought the assistance of the demons who they regarded as their gods.”

Russian Monk Gregor Novikh, nicknamed “Rasputin,” meaning “dissolute, profligate, libertine, licentious,” because such he was. Rasputin came of a peasant family with an inherited gift of mesmerism

Gnosis, brings light

Gnosis, brings light

I am the silence that is incomprehensible
and the idea whose remembrance is frequent. I am the voice whose sound is manifold
and the word whose appearance is multiple.
I am the utterance of my name.

Gnosis, brings "light" but light separates, most fear Gnosis because the light knowledge of Gnosis brings the Soul out of Spiritual Darkness, Gnosis Breaks the bonds of darkness but the soul loves it's ties and the darkness cherishes it's servant and will not easily give that soul up. In darkness the soul believes that the knowledge, thoughts, desires ect. Is it's own, but they are not the soul has been led to believe that they are in this way the soul stays in service to her Masters as if she was a prostitute.

My brother they who was born in darkness was born also blind! They have no light they are from the shadow that the kingdom of light cast and where the primordial waters rest.

You are the light that will glorify the body you are in. The spirit of man is the candle of the Lord illuminating all the inner parts of soul and body..

Gnosis is a seed of life, once it is planted and has grown it will cry out to you in the voice of the Silence,.urging you to come to know her, and when she cries out to you do not be as those who died in the wilderness, but run to her and embrace her, she is the Mother of gnosis.

Truth, is like a light of pure knowledge, if it Burns you, it separates the darkness in you from you, if you are able to stand then you shall become as great as the light that the darkness has fled from.

The knowledge of the Son

WAKING UP AND COMING TO KNOWLEDGE

The knowledge of the Son :

For many years many of us sought to find out knowledge of the father through ignorance, thinking that through some ritual, magical spells, ancient artifacts, drinks from roots, some have even sought out knowledge of the father through physics, or some mathematical formula.

But I say to those that do so are asleep and have not awaken to the truth, sadly they sleep the sleep of ignorance and have need of being awakening.

And this awakening only comes through the son of the preexisting one, the virginal sport that begets all things and has appointed his first begotten son to reveal the knowledge of him to all beings, from the infinite realms to mortal men, understand my brothers even the knowledge of one's self is hidden in the son.

WAKING UP AND COMING TO KNOWLEDGE

What, then, is that which he wants such a one to think? “I am like the shadows and phantoms of the night.” When morning comes, this one knows that the fear that had been experienced was nothing.

Thus they were ignorant of the father; he is the one whom they did not see. Since there had been fear and confusion and a lack of confidence and double-mindedness and division, there were many illusions that were conceived by them, as well as empty ignorance—as if they were fast asleep and found themselves a prey to troubled dreams.

Either they are fleeing somewhere, or they lack strength to escape when pursued. They are involved in inflicting blows, or they themselves receive bruises. They are falling from high places, or they fly through the air with no wings at all. Other times, it is as if certain people were trying to kill them, even though there is no one pursuing them; or they themselves are killing those beside them, and they are stained by their blood. Until the moment when they who are passing through all these things—I mean they who have experienced all these confusions—awaken, they see nothing because the dreams were nothing. It is thus that they who cast ignorance from them like sleep do not consider it to be anything, nor regard its properties to be something real, but they renounce them like a dream in the night and they consider the knowledge of the father to be the dawn. It is thus that each one has acted, as if asleep, during the time of ignorance, and thus a person comes to understand, as if awakening. And happy is the one who comes to himself and awakens. Indeed, blessings on one who has opened the eyes of the blind.

The spirit came to this person in haste when the person was awakened. Having given its hand to the one lying prone on the ground, it placed him firmly on his feet, for he had not yet stood up. This gave them the means of knowing the knowledge of the father and the revelation of his son. For when they saw it and listened to it, he permitted them to take a taste of and to smell and to grasp the beloved son.

Pistis Sophia Chapter 132 Spirit and Body

Spirit and Body Pistis Sophia Chapter 132

To know ones self, is the beginning of ones awaking:

I've asked you to know yourself, and now i expand the question.

Know what is yours and that which is given to you!

Listen and i shall make an effort to reveal that which is hidden,

1)yours= is spirit life from the unbegotten Father the pre-existing one

2)the body= what is given.

Be careful of that which is given to you , it is not yours, The Aeons are beings that pre-dates the Archons who are the so call gods of the old testaments, and these are called the rulers of the great fate, the great fate is an area beyond the reach of man and the archons a region too vast to be reached by them both, and it is these who fashions the sins and the counterfeit spirit, now, the counterfeit spirit has power over the body, meaning the feelings and emotions,

By looking at the body , and not seeing the spiritual being in the body, ignorance will take you captive and sleep and slumber shall overshadow you, and you shall become a servant to Fate, and Destiny will kill you, and from this you shall not awaken,
The mystery is this, an aeon that goes by the name of Pistis desired to create a being to rule over all the matter of chaos, chaos is the vast darkness which we call outer space, this being, creature whose mother is pistis, and his name being 'yalda baoth'. after becoming aware of his existance, he proclaimed that he was God over all that is matter, this world inwhich we live is matter, and this matter is the refuse of the gods and aeons, 'yalda baoth'. took the refuse of the gods and aeons and constructed Earth, then created the body of man out of this earth.

My brothers and sister we are not bodies which is refuse of the aeons, but we are greater far beyond the thoughts of the aeons, we are Self Perpetuating life giving spirits, whose origins are from the all the total of existence, from he who is first man self-man who is pure mind! and we were sent and placed inside of these bodies inwhich we reside in now, longing to be released from these bodies of refuse matter.

so do not claim, lay hold of , accept, cling to any and all things that pertains to your body of matter, it is all Refuse of the gods and aeons, even your sins, your problems are not yours, renounce them.

their aeons, to the number of three-hundred-and-sixty-and-five, and give them the soul and the counterfeiting spirit, which are bound to one another. The counterfeiting spirit is the without of the soul, and the compound of the power is the within of the soul, being within both of them, in order that they may be able to stand, for |345. it is the power which keepeth the two up-right. And the rulers give commandment to the servitors, saying unto them: This is the type which ye are to put into the body of the matter of the world.' They say unto them indeed: 'Put the compound of the power, the within of the soul, within them all, that they may be able to stand, for it is their up-rightness, and after the soul put the counterfeiting spirit.'

Of conception."Thus they give commandment to their servitors, that they may deposit it into the bodies of the antitype. And following this fashion the servitors of the rulers bring the power and the soul and the counterfeiting spirit, bring them down to the world, and pour [them] out into the world of the rulers of the midst. The rulers of the midst look after the counterfeiting spirit; and also the destiny, whose name is Moira, leadeth the man until it hath him slain through the death appointed unto him, which the rulers of the great Fate have bound to the soul. And the servitors of the sphere bind the soul and the power and the counterfeiting spirit and the destiny. And they portion them all and make them into two portions and seek after the man and also after the woman in the world to whom they have given signs, in order that they may |346. send them into them. And they give one portion to the man and one portion to the woman in a victual of the world or in a breath of the air or in water or in a kind which they drink.

"All this I will tell unto you and the species of every soul and the type, how they enter into the bodies, whether of men or of birds or of cattle or of wild beasts or of reptiles or of all the other species in the world. I will tell you their type, in what type they enter into men; I will tell it you at the expansion of the universe.

Pistis Sophia  CHAPTER 132

Brothers and Sisters Know Your Selves

Brothers and Sisters.........

You have heard me say know your selves, and that no man can teach you any thing. In these sayings I find that I am more correct than I had supposed.

All are but fragmentary parts of a lager whole and of it's total sum I have not obtained as of yet, but for your sake as well as mine I shall continue to do so, this is the will of the father, so I share with you this thing.

Brothers and sisters do not put to much thought into your bodies nor in it's features and it's similarities even of it's memories, but rather be concerned with your eternal bodies of which most of you have no idea of what they look like.

For this reason I have said to you " Know Your Selves " this is why our Brother has said this to you........ James 1:22-24 ►..... 22Be doers of the word, and not hearers only. Otherwise, you are deceiving yourselves. 23For anyone who hears the word but does not carry it out is like a man who looks at his face in a mirror, 24and after observing himself goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like.…

Brothers and sisters before we came to this place we spoke with our lord but most of you have forgotten what was said to you, you have become blind of yourselves and what you truly look like, the clothes you have on have dulled your senses, and you have wondered off the path that was set before you.

And this text have come to pass in you you stood before a mirror and that mirror was Christ, you beheld yourselves in that mirror but you turned and came down here and have forgotten the image you saw when you beheld yourselves in the face of Christ.

But I have good news for you all, in him is our eternal image and as often as you need or desire to do so come back to that mirror behold yourselves again and again, and again, as often as you may need not only would you not forget the true face of Christ but you will remember who you are as you see your true selves in him.

This is what I was told to tell you my brothers and to you all of my sisters, you must know yourselves..........

Pistis Sophia The Mysteries of the Kingdom of Light

Pistis Sophia The Mysteries of the Kingdom of Light

As I have said i will share with you of my visit with the Rulers of this world, but first I must share with you " insight " on how I was able to visit these rulers.

Now, the understanding of the mysteries of the kingdom of Light is the key.

Of the Mysteries :

I will give you a few of the many realms of the mysteries of the kingdom of light.

The Treasury of the Light:

Most of you are from this realm, and there are many other realms below this one, those of you that are from here are able to visit any of them as often as you wish, for this reason I have said to you, know your self and know of your origin.

If you abide in and posses a higher mystery then you can go to any realm as often as you wish that is lower than the realm of the mystery that you posses, but not able to go above to the realms that has a higher mystery than you posses.

Now each realm has it's own mystery, that mystery has within itself all the knowledge of that realm, of it's many different forms and languages, to which you can use to your benefit, that you may be able to commune with those beings of that realm, the same is with the higher realms, you will have the power and knowledge of how to transform your form into my the form of all the beings in the realm of all the mysteries that you posses.

The First Space of the ineffable :

Those of you that are from this realm of light, will be few, for those that first came from this space shall return to this space, and there will be some that came from a lesser mystery who have while on this earth obtained knowledge of this higher space and rested in it and shall rule over all of the lesser mysteries and as kings, of mysteries.

The Limbs of the Ineffable :

Those of you that posses this mystery shall stand as emissaries of our father to the many mysteries and realms that is below this mystery.

The Ineffable:

here are we from, that sought out sonship, that has given up all, renounced all, even our very own existence to our father, this was his will from the beginning before all things that are invisible, before all things of light, before all things that are spiritual, before all things that are eternal, before all things that are immortal, before all things that are mortal.

, oh! If our brethren, knew of their origin error and ignorance would no longer enslave them, I will share more later.

I will speak to those who know to hear not with the ears of the body but with the ears of the mind. For many have sought after the truth and have not been able to find it; because there has taken hold of them the old leaven of the Pharisees and the scribes of the Law. And the leaven is the errant desire of the angels and the demons and the stars. As for the Pharisees and the scribes, it is they who belong to the archons who have authority over them.

The True Self the Gospel of Thomas Saying 67

(67) Jesus said: He who knows the all, (but) fails (to know) himself, misses everything.

The Lord Jesus teaches that we must know our (true) self. Your true self and life is Christ, God’s only son, and by him we can do all things. Our true self is in God and God is in you Rom 8:9 than we cannot be lacking in our self God is raising our consciousness so that we can realize he is all in all 1Cor 12:6 15:28 Eph 1:23. But if one knows everything but does not have love than you are completely deficient if we have knowledge of every mystery but not love we are nothing 1Cor 13:2. The kingdom is being built upon love and knowledge it is nothing useful without the love of God. Knowledge is like sand and love is like mortar, together they are a strong substance but without love our knowledge will not support anything 1Cor 8:1 13:2,8 2Cor 6:6b8:7 Eph 3:19 Phil 1:9.

And if you do not actively engoige in prayer and meditation on the bible dally, and worship Yahweh your Elohim in spirit and truth victory over oneself. The Lord is speaking about the necessity of direct spiritual practices and spiritual living that bring it about. This is accomplished when you know yourself if you know not yourself then you neither know your enemy and you will always endanger yourself know your enemy the devil that is sin in the flesh. So you must suspend the egoistic self, silencing the mental being and calming the vital-emotional

Thus allowing the Christ-consciousness to act without obstruction. If you know yourself connected to the oneness of what the Deity is, The Christ-self in union with the heavenly father and Christ Jesus no longer do you suffer from the delusion of lack and separation therefore the sorrows of personal deficiency have vanished. Do you believe with understanding that is to say, do you have genuine faith? Through faith and the good works of faith do you labour for true knowledge? Do you have faith in the death and resurrection of Christ Jesus and the knowledge of the indwelling Christ-self that enlightens the mind and liberates you from the thinking of the flesh and death. Then for you the resurrection is now and the advent of Christ is nearer for you. Praise Yah.

Jesus is 'the All,' and 'everywhere' is where Jesus is, as in Saying 77

67) Jesus said, "Whoever believes that the All itself is deficient is (himself) completely deficient [how can that which is created by He who is perfect in all His ways possibly be deficient? - we are all part of a grand plan of His and not our own]."

Spiritual Love the gospel of Philip

Spiritual Love
Spiritual love is wine and perfume. [78] People who anoint themselves with it enjoy it, and while these people are present, others who are around also enjoy it. If the people who are anointed leave them and go away, the others who are not anointed but are only standing around are stuck with their own bad odor.

The Samaritan gave nothing to the wounded person except wine and oil—that is, only ointment. The ointment healed the wound, for “love covers a multitude of sins.”

The analogy in the following lines presents the relation of the Gnostic to the outside world: the fragance of a perfume is enjoyed not only by those who wear it but by others in their company, but when the wearers depart the others are left in their own ill odour (c£ perhaps Ign., Eph. xvii).

Spiritual love is wine [blood] and fragrance [sacrifice]. All those who anoint themselves with it take pleasure in it [these will sacrifice even the good inside of them at the hands of evil in others for this is the will of the Father]. While those who are anointed are present, those nearby also profit (from the fragrance) [they subjectively benefit from your sacrifice when you return good for evil]. If those anointed with ointment [the saints] withdraw from them and leave, then those not anointed, who merely stand nearby, still remain in their bad odor [their sacrifices are fowl and unacceptable to the Father (they are from the ground, their own depraved heart and mind and not according to the Father’s will)]. The Samaritan gave nothing but wine and oil to the wounded man. It is nothing other than the ointment [the sacrifice and offering of love]. It healed the wounds, for "love covers a multitude of sins" [so acts of love and obedience move the Father to forgive us our sins] (1 Pe 4:8). (Philip 86)

Knowledge and Love the gospel of Philip

Knowledge and Love

Whoever knows the truth is free, and a free person does not sin, for “one who sins is a slave of sin.” Truth is the mother, knowledge is the father. Those who do not allow themselves to sin the world calls free. They do not allow themselves to sin, and knowledge of the truth lifts them up—that is, it makes them free and superior to all. But “love builds up.” Whoever is free through knowledge is a slave because of love for those who do not yet have freedom of knowledge. Knowledge enables them to be free.
Love [never says] it owns something, [though] it owns [everything]. Love does not [say, “This is mine]” or “That is mine,” but rather, “[All that is mine] is yours.”

He who has knowledge of the truth [comprehends who He truly is and where he came from and why Christ was sent etc…] is a free man [a spirit son of God who has been redeemed], but the free man does not sin [“..he cannot sin for he is born of God”], for "He who sins is the slave of sin [our flesh is still a slave of sin though our spirit is not – See Romans 7]". Truth is the mother [the holy spirit guides us into all truth - the universal spirit or subconscious mind (awareness)], knowledge the father [our sub-conscious mind (soul) created in His image yet is heavily influenced by the flesh (conscious mind) to oppose the Father at every turn]. Those who think that sinning does not apply to them are called "free" by the world [this is nominal Christo-paganism today who think they can continue to let sin lord it over them without penalty as long as they eat a cookie and put a penny in the plate]. Knowledge of the truth merely makes such people [who are wise in their own eyes] arrogant, which is what the words, "it makes them free" mean [to them]. It even gives them a sense of superiority over the whole world [a form of haughtiness that they are already saved because their sins have been forgiven]. But "Love builds up" (1 Co 8:1) [the Father chastises those He loves and these grow in stature and wisdom and learn self-control]. In fact, he who is really free, through [true] knowledge, is a slave, because of love for those who have not yet been able to attain to the freedom of knowledge [he becomes ministerial servant to these]. Knowledge makes them capable of becoming free [for “to them gave he power to become sons” - this capability comes from transformation as we become as our Master we lose our "selves" and become One with the Father to obey and do His will and act righteously towards others]. Love never calls something its own, [...] it [...] possess [...]. It never says, "This is yours" or "This is mine," but "All these are yours".

Those who are freed through gnosis remain as though they were slaves because of Love. Their Love for others binds them to the mortal plane so that they can help them ascend to freedom. Their essence is freedom but their appearance is slavery. They have ceased to be slaves of darkness, but they make themselves slaves in Light. They are redeemed, so they become redeemers of others. They are anointed, so they minister as christs on the mortal plane.

What is Repentance?

What is Repentance?

Repent is, in the original Greek, "change your mind."

repentance can mean a reformation from within see Mt 3:8  bear, therefore, fruits worthy of the reformationYoung's Literal Translation

Young's Literal Translation Mt 3:1 ¶  And in those days cometh John the Baptist, proclaiming in the wilderness of J
udea,
2  and saying, ‘Reform, for come nigh hath the reign of the heavens,’
3  for this is he who was spoken of by Isaiah the prophet, saying, ‘A voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, straight make ye His paths.’
4  And this John had his clothing of camel’s hair, and a girdle of skin round his loins, and his nourishment was locusts and honey of the field.
5  Then were going forth unto him Jerusalem, and all Judea, and all the region round about the Jordan,
6  and they were baptized in the Jordan by him, confessing their sins.
7 ¶  And having seen many of the Pharisees and Sadducees coming about his baptism, he said to them, ‘Brood of vipers! who did shew you to flee from the coming wrath?
8  bear, therefore, fruits worthy of the reformation,

Reformation The act of reforming, or the state of being reformed; change from worse to better; correction or amendment of life, manners, or of anything vicious or corrupt; as, the reformation of manners; reformation of the age; reformation of abuses.

Jesus himself knew the heart of men and he knew that the revolution must come from within because defilement comes from within

Mark 7:17 When he had entered a house away from the crowd, his disciples began to question him about respecting this illustration.18 So he said to them, "Are you thus without understanding also? Do you not perceive that whatever enters a man from outside cannot defile him, 19 because it does not enter his heart but his stomach, and then goes out into the sewer.” 20 And he said, "What comes out of a man, that defiles a man. 21 For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, 22 thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lewdness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness. 23 All these evil things come from within and defile a man."

The Greek word found in strong’s 3341 metanoia is translated "repentance," does not mean an admission to God of sorrow for past sin and a resolve to be good in the future. literally means is after-knowing (in contrast to foreknowing) and signifies a change in one’s mind, attitude, or purpose.

In Greek, two verbs are used in connection with repentance: me·ta·no·e´o and me·ta·me´lo·mai. The first is composed of me·ta´, meaning “after,” and no·e´o (related to nous, the mind, disposition, or moral consciousness), meaning “perceive, discern, mentally grasp, or be aware.” Hence, me·ta·no·e´o literally means afterknowing (in contrast to foreknowing) and signifies a change in one’s mind, attitude, or purpose. Me·ta·me´lo·mai, on the other hand, comes from me´lo, meaning “care for or have interest in.” The prefix me·ta´ (after) gives the verb the sense of ‘regretting’ (Mt 21:30; 2Co 7:8), or ‘repenting.’

Thus, repentance stresses the changed viewpoint or disposition, a rejecting of the past or intended course or action as undesirable. It is clear that the mission of John the baptist was to bring about a change of mind. The fundamental idea taught by the Scriptures is not that man must know sorrow, but rather that he must undergo a change, a change not merely of conduct but of the thinking and attitude.

Repentance means change of mind, transformation of the mind, change of thought and purpose.

A proper translation of the mission of John the baptist is: He came into all the region around the Jordan preaching submersion of reformation into a forgiveness of sins;

The Revolution of Consciousness is the FIFTH GOSPEL, we urgently need a radical, total and definitive change, and this is only possible through the Revolution of Consciousness. Intimate Self-Realization is only possible in isolated individuals with the help of adequate knowledge and methods. Such an intimate revolution can only occur within the individual and is in fact against the interests of Nature.

What is the difference between Esoteric Christianity and Exoteric Christianity?

One is hidden knowledge -one is public knowledge for all.

One comes through self study and exploration -the other comes from tradition and instruction by others.

The Teaching of Renunciation 2 Corinthians 4:2

The Doctrine of Renunciation

Early Christianity went through a great cycle of renunciation and it is still held in many conservative sects that the renunciation of worldly ambition, worldly appetites and worldly goods is indispensable to spiritual salvation

During the 3th century a Christian Gnostic sect arose called the Apotactics or Apotactites (from the Greek apotassomai, to renounce) and spread through the western and southern parts of Asia Minor (present Anatolia, Asian Turkey). Very little is known about them only that they places great importance of the doctrine of renunciation

The Apotactics believed that "a renunciation of property is necessary to salvation. It seems the Apotactics took there understanding from Luke 14:33

Lu 14:33 So likewise every one of you that doth not renounce<657> all that he possesseth cannot be my disciple.

Peter answered and said to him, "Lord, you have taught us to forsake the world and everything in it. We have renounced them for your sake. What we are concerned about (now) is the food for a single day. Where will we be able to find the needs that you ask us to provide for the poor?" The Lord answered and said, "O Peter, it was necessary that you understand the parable that I told you! Do you not understand that my name, which you teach, surpasses all riches, and the wisdom of God surpasses gold, and silver and precious stone(s)?" (The Acts of Peter and the Twelve Apostles)

Say to them :Renounce the entire world and all matter within it and all its concerns [fear, worry, lack of faith] and all its sins, and in general all associations with it, that you may be deserving of the mysteries of Light and be delivered from all the chastisements which are in the judgments.” (The Acts of Peter and the Twelve Apostles)

XLVII. The Word does not bid us renounce property; [12] but to manage property without inordinate affection; and on anything happening, not to be vexed or grieved; and not to desire to acquire. Divine Providence bids keep away from possession accompanied with passion, and from all inordinate affection, and from this turns back those still remaining [13] in the flesh. (Attributed to Theodotus, as collected by Clement of Alexandria)
Apotassomai and Apeipomen
Strong's #657: apotassomai (pronounced ap-ot-as'-som-ahee)

middle voice from 575 and 5021; literally, to say adieu (by departing or dismissing); figuratively, to renounce:--bid farewell, forsake, take leave, send away.

There is another Greek word apeipomen which can be translated Renounce

550. ἀπειπόμην apeipomen [ap-i-pom’-ane]; reflexive past of a compound of 575 and 2036; to say off for oneself, i.e. disown: — renounce.

To renounce, disown, forbid, refuse. Reflexive past of a compound of apo and epo; to say off for oneself, i.e. Disown.

It is used once in the New Testament 2Cor 4:2 and twice in the Septuagint (Greek translation of the Old Testament) see 1 Kings 11:2, and Job 10:3

2Cor 4:2 But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth

The word apeipomen means, to speak out or off; to refuse or deny; to forbid. Here it means, to renounce, or disown; to give up, to disclaim, to cast off, to give up a belief or opinion by open confession.

New Testament Apocrypha
The doctrine of Renunciation is found in early christian text like the Acts of Paul, the Acts of Peter and the Twelve Apostles, and Pistis Sophia. See also Gospel of Thomas saying 27 on fasting from (or, abstaining from) the world."

(Gospel of Thomas 27) <Jesus> said: If you do not fast to the world, you will not find the kingdom; if you do not keep the Sabbath as Sabbath, you will not see the Father.

The Acts of Paul Chapter 2:16: Blessed are they that have renounced this world, for they shall be well-pleasing unto God.

No one knows the God of truth except solely the man who will forsake all of the things of the world, having renounced the whole place, (and) having grasped the fringe of his garment. He has set himself up as a power; he has subdued desire in every way within himself. (The Testimony of Truth)

But the baptism of truth is something else; it is by renunciation of the world that it is found. But those who say only with the tongue that they are renouncing it are lying, and they are coming to the place of fear. Moreover, they are humbled within it. Just as those to whom it was given to have been condemned, they shall get something! (The Testimony of Truth)

The Gospel of Thomas Saying 81 Jesus said, "The one who has become rich should reign. And the one who has power should renounce it

The Gospel of Thomas Saying (110) Jesus said, "The one who had found the world and become rich should renounce the world."

The wealthy ones are they having knowledge, understanding and wisdom as a crown on their heads a Jewelled crown of light, which is the Christ-consciousness. One who is wealthy in this way shall become a king in the age to come. But those who are powerful or have power should give it up and become poor to become rich.

To be 'children of the living Father' is to be free from the society and not to be bound to the world and its values. 'Blessedness' does not depend upon the marks of success in this world. One's identity should not be determined by whatever is valuable for personal status in the social fabric of the world.

What is made clear is that man must renounce the world and transform his mind if he hopes to receive the mysteries that will open for him the inheritance of the Light when the individual feels alone and abandoned by all and sundry, sinking into a period of depression that might lead to despair, until he is able to renounce his last remaining attachments to the world—namely, his feeling of being a separate "I"—prior to final and permanent union with God or the Light.

Spiritual meaning of renunciation
renunciation--A letting go of old thoughts in order that new thoughts may find place in consciousness. A healthy state of mind is attained when the thinker willingly lets go the old thoughts and takes on the new. This is illustrated by the inlet and outlet of a pool of water.
The center of renunciation, sometimes called elimination, in the lower part of the abdomen, carries forward the work of elimination of error thoughts from the mind and waste from the body.

Renouncing is the mental process of erasing from the mind the false beliefs of the outward senses or the consciousness of sin. Renouncing clears away false beliefs and attitude and thus makes room for the establishing of the Gospel.

The consciousness of sin is made up of a multitude of false individual beliefs and cultural attitudes. Through Renouncing we get rid of these shadows of reality. We cleanse the temple of the mind of these false ideas. In so doing, we make way for the planting of the seeds of the Gospel.

Renouncing may be made in many ways. The conscious acknowledgement that you have been mistaken in your conclusion is Renouncing. Refusing to longer enterain thoughts of the carnal mind is Renouncing.

The ability to Renounce is twofold in action: it eliminates the error, and it expands the good. When the ego consciously lets go and willingly gives up its personal ideas and loves, it has fulfilled the law of denial and is restored to the Father's house.

But all disciples know it is easier to denounce sin than to renounce it.

The admission of sin and the prayer for forgiveness is Renouncing.
A list of things to be Renounced
The list of things to be Renounced which is found in Pistis Sophia chapter 102 this should be seen as a moral code of behavior

Pistis Sophia chapter 102
JESUS continued again in the discourse and said unto his disciples: "When I shall have gone into the Light, then herald it unto the whole world and say unto them: Cease not to seek day and night and remit not yourselves until ye find the mysteries of the Light-kingdom, which will purify you and make you into refined light and lead you into the Light-kingdom.
